iDAF in Manchester
The International Digital Art Festival 2019 (26-27 June) will be taking place in Manchester at Federation House in the center of the ‘UK’s first creative & innovation district’. This creative partnership between SuperRare.co, DaDA.nyc, Blockchain Art Exchange & KnownOrigin will give attendees the opportunity to discover the very best in rare digital arts & world class innovation including AR,VR, NFT & blockchain technology.
This immersive event is the brainchild of Manchester based user experience consultant & Art enthusiast David Moore. After several years working in the design & creative industries, David found himself exploring how ‘blockchain technology’ could change the way we view art & design. David is the CEO and cofounder of an ethereum arts platform KnownOrigin, he began this new venture in 2016 with Blockchain specialist Andy Gray and James Morgan this led them to build a product allow artists to showcase & sell their digital art to new wave of art collector.
The event will bring the world’s best digital artists and tech pioneers to Manchester over two days. The program will include a Digital Art gallery featuring HD projections, large displays and interactive artworks. The creative partners at the event will be SuperRare, DADA.nyc, Blockchain Art Exchange & KnownOrigin + more. The 2 day event also has keynote speakers from leading rare art and tech platforms, UX&D workshops & a live art auction.

The goal is to inspire the wider creative industry about the potential of blockchain tech and the emergence of scarce digital art. Bringing these communities together to share ideas and explore this new endeavour is a catalyst for innovation. The event is set to attract attendees and artists from across the globe. Artists can participate by submitting digital artwork via the iDAF website. All attendees will be given the opportunity to bid and purchase rare digital art during the exhibition.
The recent explosion of Ai, generative and VR art experiences has driven a real appetite for immersive events like iDAF. The Mori Building Digital Art Museum in Tokyo and the iAM festival in Barcelona are two shining examples attracting some of the biggest talent in the digital art space. Manchester is the ideal city to host this years iDAF with its rich history in both arts and tech. The city has a global reputation for innovation and is attracting tech giants such as Amazon to take up residency in the nearby development Hanover St. This 2 day event will showcase Manchester as a creative hub and give all attendees the opportunity to enjoy Manchester and all that it offers.
iDAF 2019 is set to change the way you view art and our mission is to inspire, educate and onboard everyone to rare digital art. The event begins 26 June with a private viewing of digital artworks by artists Kjgold, Hackatao, Taline Temizian, and Ophelia Fu alongside exclusive digital artwork by internationally acclaimed fashion and portrait photographer David Bailey CBE and visual artist Zyralynn_art.
The interest in Ai, genArt & VR has given raise to the digital artists and now with the emergence of blockchain tech is giving creatives the ability to create truly ownable digital assets. The audience will be a mix of creators, artists, collectors, students, tech specialists, entrepreneurs, and investors with an appetite for new technology.
The iDAF program also includes a series of talks by Blockchain Art Exchange CEO, Sascha Bailey, an experienced Artist manager, dealer and collector of art with ten years of experience in the art industry. Internationally acclaimed artists Helen Knowles & Beatriz Ramos, founder of New York based arts platform DADA.nyc and Simona Pop cofounder & CMO of Bounties Network – changing the way people, communities and organizations collaborate across verticals. The event will also feature a live digital art auction hosted by Auctionity The world’s largest blockchain auction house for crypto-collectibles & NFTs. The attendees will have the opportunity to bid on 5 exclusive artworks during the event.
